How to Play Texas Hold'em

Hand Rankings

High Card The highest ranked card of 5 assorted cards
One Pair 2 cards of matching rank and 3 assorted cards
Two Pair 2 sets of 2 cards each of matching rank and 1 assorted card
Three-of-a-Kind 3 cards of matching rank and 2 assorted cards
Straight 5 cards in sequence
Flush 5 cards of matching suit
Full house Sets of 3 cards and 2 cards each of matching rank
Four-of-a-Kind 4 cards of matching rank and 1 assorted card
Straight Flush 5 cards of matching suit in sequence

If two players have the same hand, than the hand with the highest card, called the kicker, is the best hand.

If more than one player has the best hand, including all kickers, then those players tie.

If the five community cards represent the best hand, then all remaining players tie.
