Heads-Up Hold'em Solitaire

Object

To win the most cards by having the best hand at Showdown, while losing the fewest cards by folding early when you don't think you will have the best hand.

Hands are made by the best 5-card combination of your two cards and the five community cards from the Flop, Turn, and River stages.

Dealing a Hand

1. You. Deal down one StrataCard for yourself. Look at your cards on the front. If you want to fold this hand now, place your card in a MUCK pile, then deal the next hand. If you want to keep playing this hand, then continue.

2. Your Opponent. Deal down one StrataCard across the table for an opponent. Do not look at the cards on the front, but you may look at the cards on the back. If you want to fold now, place your card in the MUCK pile, but place your opponent's card in a LOSE pile, then deal the next hand.

3. The Flop. Deal down one StrataCard to the center of the table. This represents the three Flop cards. If you want to fold now, place your card in the MUCK pile, but place your opponent's card and the community card in the LOSE pile, then deal the next hand.

4. The Turn. Deal down one more StrataCard, placing it under the Flop card so that only one additional card face is showing. This represents the Turn card. If you want to fold now, place your card in the MUCK pile, but place your opponent's card and the community cards in the LOSE pile, then deal the next hand.

5. The River. Deal down one last StrataCard, placing it under the Turn card so that only one additional card face is showing. This represents the River card. If you want to fold now, place your card in the MUCK pile, but place your opponent's card and the community cards in the LOSE pile, then deal the next hand.

6. Showdown. Turn over your StrataCard and your opponent's StrataCard. If you have the best hand, put all the cards in the WIN pile. If your opponent has the best hand, put all the cards in the LOSE pile. If it's a tie, put all the cards in the MUCK pile.

7. Continue. Deal the next hand. If you don't have enough StrataCards to finish a hand, put all the cards from the hand in the MUCK pile.

Scoring

If you have more cards in the WIN pile than the LOSE pile, you win! Play again and try to beat your score.
